Daring to Get Wet

Last weekend I went to a local park where there's a frozen small pond and stream. But it was a warm day and the ice was beginning to melt. there were a few people hiking along the trail and some were watching two teens jumping on the ice and testing it.It started cracking in a few places but still supported them.It was clear they were daring each other and would continue jumping on the ice until one of them feel in. One kid felt partway into some slushy ice and got his jeans wet up to his knee. They both kept jumping on the ice. It was OBVIOUS they WANTED to get wet (sneakers, super skinny jeans, hoodies).
Sure enough after another minute one kid fell in up to his waist and the other kid, in helping him, fell in pretty much completely. They scrambled out and ran away knowing that people had been watching.
