Hey, James, what a great account. Love the idea of trashing a suit like that in the mud. I have read many of Jonno's accounts before and it seems like you all have a great time getting wet and messy.

It was my boy Jeff and his dog that you met at the reserve. He has gained a liking for getting wet in recent years and I don't discourage him as it was what I used to do when his age; but his mum thoroughly disapproves as she has done of me doing it over the years.

Jeff and I have had a difficult time recently, my wife walked out on us to be with a work colleague this time last year and then after six months asked if I'd take her back, which I foolishly did as much for Jeff's sake as mine, but then she walked out again this last weekend saying she would never, ever be back. It was a relief really as tension has been high in the household. Anyway Jeff and I agreed after a long heart-searching chat, that we were better off together without her. I intend in future to let him get as wet and muddy as he likes in whatever he wants to wear (except his school uniform, for now at least). He is 16 now and was supposed to be doing his GCSEs this summer but that is all up in the air at the moment and he has been at home along with me (I work from home as a tax consultant) so we will no doubt have a few wet and fun times together this summer, maybe even jump in the mud up at the reserve; so you never know we might meet up sometime.
