It wasn't really a "birds and bees" chat, more us chatting about why his mum left, both our feelings on that and how we wanted things to progress in future. I am well aware that he does not need the old birds and bees talk, he seems to know far more than I ever did at his age. The subject of getting wet and muddy came up when he asked if I had got wet in my clothes as a teenager and was he weird for getting aroused by it; to which I said "yes, I did" and "no, you're not at all weird for finding that happening to you, I was the same". He looked shocked at the idea of his dad getting a boner so I reminded him about how it was he came to be on this planet and we ended up just laughing at that idea.

His mum has played us both for fools over the years and |I should have heeded my mum's warnings about her long ago. She is a cold-hearted and calculating woman who sees her wn kids a drag on her future plans, so I was not surprised to hear that she was quite happy to tell Jeff she wanted no more to do with him, it is entirely in character for her. I rather pity the bloke she has gone off with, he doesn't know what he is in for long term. She has gone with him for the money and flash life style as far as I can see; I make good money (£100k a year usually) but he makes maybe double that and is happy to spend it on silly fripperies rather than investing for the future. Good riddence to her really.
