Wow Luke. Thanks for the post. One of the best for a long time. It must have felt awesome standing in that deep mud with someone else's hand in your trackies.
I've only been tossed off once by another guy, and he was a bus conductor. Yep, I didn't have any money, do he tossed me off at the next stop!
I'm interested that a couple of you are, as you put it 'farm machinery nuts'. Do you have any vintage stuff, and if so is it just for your own enjoyment, or do you take it to shows and vehicle rallies.
Also, are you in the young farmers club. I like to think I have them partly to thank for my wet sportswear fetish, as at the tender age of 11 or so I was taken to an 'Its a knockout' completion, that was being run between a young farmers group and other teams, such as Police, Ambulance etc. Nylon sportswear had become the in thing by then, and I desperately wanted some, as I was still wearing the heavy cotton variety. I remember seeing these teams plunging into pools full of water, and heightening my resolve to get some of this new nylon gear as soon as possible. I think I had to wait until September, and the start of the new term though. I still blame the sight of all that soaked gear, and the feelings that were racing through my young body, for the path my life took. Well, I say blame. Wouldn't have it any other way.
