Seems like I had more luck connecting with mud and gunge guys back in the "dark ages" before the Internet when we posted ads in gay papers like The Advocate and wrote replies on paper and mailed them!
The best replies I got had photo prints included in the envelope, since you could pretty much trust they were of the person who wrote to you and not a pic of some hunk snagged off the Internet.
Can't compete with your priest but I did meet some very interesting guys, including a few married ones with kids. Sadly, back then I thought anyone over 50 was too old for muddy fun. And now the tables are turned.
